Beaches Negril Resort & Spa
All Inclusive Resort Jamaica
Beaches Negril, located on the stunning 7 mile beach in Negril, Jamaica. This family-friendly resort is fully all-inclusive. Among food and drink, you’ll also find included activities like scuba diving, snorkeling, glass bottomed boat (great for small kids like mine), waterskiing/wakeboarding, aqua trikes, SUP boards, kayaks, and more! Round-trip airport transportation is always included as well.
If your kids are really small, there is a large splash pad. If they are a little bigger, there’s a large waterpark with multiple slides and fun water features for the kids, plus 2 big slides for older kids (must be 42 inches tall) and floaties/life jackets are not allowed on them.
There’s also a lazy river, which was a big hit with our kids, several hot tubs, pools, and swim up bars.
The Beach: easily one of the best we’ve ever been to. Water is shallow, warm, and crystal clear. But beware of the jellyfish that like to come out to sting after 3 PM!
Service: It was good. Beach service was not frequent, and there is no room service unless you are staying in a butler room category.
Food: It was rated good-great in most cases. A couple of our meals were even excellent. There’s a frozen yogurt shop that was a big hit with the kids. We may or may not have stopped there every day.
Staff: Extremely friendly, and go the extra mile to make the kids feel seen and special.
Entertainment: Pretty cheesy. Small kids seem to enjoy it, but it’s not great for older kids and adults.
The Bottom Line: This resort is tired. Some areas are well taken care of, and some need a major renovation. They are in the process of building a new butler villa collection that are going to be gorgeous, but I personally wish they would update some of the existing property first. Our room was fine. Tub didn’t plug properly, so we had to stuff a wash cloth in the drain to try to keep enough water in the tub for baths.
We just finished 5 nights at this family resort.
