Iceland

Traveling to Iceland is an adventure in every sense of the word—especially when it comes to the weather. Conditions can shift in an instant, with sunshine, wind, rain, and even snow all making an appearance in a single day. While this unpredictability can feel challenging when planning daily activities, it’s also part of what makes Iceland so exciting and memorable. The ever-changing skies add a sense of spontaneity and drama to the landscapes, making every moment feel unique.

Spring is an especially wonderful time to visit Iceland. As the country begins to thaw from winter, you’ll experience longer daylight hours, fewer crowds, and a beautiful contrast between lingering snow and emerging greenery. Waterfalls are at their most powerful from melting ice, wildlife begins to reappear, and you still have a chance to catch the Northern Lights early in the season. Traveling in the spring allows you to enjoy the best of both winter and summer—making it an ideal time for those seeking both adventure and a bit of flexibility in their journey.

Did everything go as planned on our trip? No. But it rarely does with travel—especially in a place like Iceland. Flexibility is key. We still saw some incredible sights, enjoyed amazing food, and shared even better company!
