5 Things We Loved About Beaches Turks & Caicos

After spending a week at Beaches Turks & Caicos with my family this past winter, I can confidently say this is one of the best all-inclusive family resorts in the Caribbean. From endless activities to pristine beaches, it’s easy to see why families return year after year, despite the high price tag. But no resort is perfect, and there are a few things you should know before you go. Here’s my honest take on what we loved—and a few things to keep in mind before booking.

5 Things We Loved About Beaches Turks & Caicos

1. The Beach & Water 🌊🏝️
Let’s start with the obvious: Grace Bay Beach is absolutely stunning. The water is the kind of turquoise you see in postcards, and the sand is soft and powdery. Whether we were lounging under an umbrella, floating in the calm waves, snorkeling with the vibrant marine life, or building sand castles with the kids, this beach lived up to the hype.

2. So Many Dining Options 🍽️

With 21 restaurants, there was no shortage of variety. Sushi at Soy, Seafood at Neptunes, and made-to-order pizzas at Dinos or Bella Napoli were a few of our favorites. And don’t forget about the unlimited frozen yogurt, which was a hit with our kids.
Tip: The hibachi experience at Kimonos requires reservations, so book early!

3. Built-In Entertainment for Everyone 🎭🎸
Beaches does a fantastic job of catering to all ages. The kids clubs, Sesame Street character meet-and-greets, and Pirates Island Waterpark are a hit with younger guests, while older kids and teens can enjoy the Xbox Lounge and Club Liquid. Live entertainment every night kept things fun for adults, too! Since we traveled with our littles, we did not get to experience the adult entertainment, but there’s something for everyone, which makes this resort an excellent choice for multi-gen vacations! Dancing classes, Family Feud, fire shows on the beach, and more! There’s always something happening at Beaches Turks and Caicos.

4. The Waterpark and Pools 🏊‍♀️🍹
Each village has its own vibe, and we loved exploring different pools throughout our stay. Whether we were at the big, lively French Village pool or the more laid-back Italian Village area, the swim-up bars made it easy to enjoy a cold drink without leaving the water. And they just finished the BRAND NEW Treasure Island Village!

5. Excursions with Island Routes 🚤🐠
While the resort has so much to offer, we wanted to explore beyond the property, so we booked an Island Routes catamaran tour to Iguana Island - home to over 5000 iguanas! It included a stop for snorkeling, and plenty of time to jump off the boat and slide into the crystal-clear waters at the end. August worked up the courage to jump in, but Addie wasn’t quite sure about it. This little adventure off-resort was one of the highlights of our trip!

However, snorkeling in the open water was not the best choice for our kids’ first time. We ended up walking down the beach for some of the most amazing snorkeling a few days later and in hindsight, we should have done that first to get the kids more comfortable with it.

3 Things to Consider Before Booking

1. The Resort Is BIG 🗺️
Beaches Turks & Caicos is spread out, which means a lot of walking. However, the layout of the resort makes everything very reachable in a short amount of time. If you’re traveling with young kids, someone with mobility concerns, or anyone who prefers a smaller resort, this is something to keep in mind. Tip: The Key West and Italian Villages are more centrally located if you want easier access to everything.

2. Pool Chairs Can Fill Up Early
With a resort this popular, finding the perfect beach or pool chair can sometimes be a challenge. If you want prime seating, you’ll need to claim your spot early. Tip: Booking a cabana for the day, or opting for butler service can help if you don’t want to deal with the hassle.

3. The Price Tag 💰
Beaches Turks & Caicos is an investment. While the inclusions—meals, drinks, activities, and water sports—make it a great value, it’s not the cheapest family vacation. I would estimate a minimum of $10,000 for a family of 4 for a full week. If you’re looking for a true all-inclusive experience with tons of amenities and activities that appeal to kids and adults of all ages, it a great resort.

*This resort also sells out months in advance. If you’re considering this for a family holiday, you’ll want to book at least a year in advance!

Final Thoughts

Overall, Beaches Turks & Caicos delivered an incredible family vacation with stunning scenery, endless entertainment, and lots of dining variety. While there are a few things to consider before booking, the experience made for unforgettable memories. I felt that this resort would have been completely perfect for a multi-gen family vacation. There are multi-bedroom villas that would be great for multiple families to share, and we found ourselves wishing we had all the cousins there to enjoy with us!
